IRVINE, Calif.— UCI wraps up the regular season at Black and Blue rival Long Beach State (Apr. 19) before heading over to Orange County foe Cal State Fullerton (Apr. 21) two days later.

- UCI dropped a pair of contests over the weekend, 7-0, to both No. 53 UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly

- UCSB got to work with doubles victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for the 1-0 advantage
- The Anteaters put up a fight on the first three courts in individual action, but the Gauchos won three straight to clinch the match
- No. 4 and No. 5 singles wrapped up not too long after with Emily Fowler at the fifth position bringing the second set within two points, 6-4
- Larissa Teramura at the No. 6 spot collected the lone UCI set win against No. 53 UC Santa Barbara, 6-4, before falling in the next two
- Against Cal Poly…
- The Mustangs jumped out in front with two 6-0 wins in doubles. Following that, Cal Poly used a pair of two set wins to hold the 3-0 advantage
- The match was clinched on court six which was the first three-setter of the afternoon. Larissa Teramura defeated her opponent 6-3 in the first set of the game but lost in the last two as Cal Poly clinched the match
- Asha Gidwani saw success in her second set at the No. 2 spot, earning the 6-3 win. The sophomore fought back from a deficit in the third to tie the match and force extra points
- Carolyna Fowler was in a similar position in her No. 3 match where she took down her opponent in the second set, 7-5
- Haily Huynh played a marathon of a three-set match on court four. Huynh fought for the extra point for a 7-5 victory in the first set before going down 6-4 in the second
- UCI looks to snap their losing streak against Long Beach State as they trail 7-27 in the series
- The Anteaters lead the all-time series with Cal State Fullerton, 17-8
Scouting Long Beach State
Long Beach State enters their final match of the regular season with an 11-7 overall record and are 5-3 in Big West action. The Beach are coming off a 5-2 loss at CSUN this past Friday.
Rhona Cook tops LBSU with 10 individual wins in dual play action and has earned them all at the No. 1 spot. Both Doga Akyurek and Peppi Ramstedt follow with nine wins each.

Paulina Franco and Mathilde Tranberg boast a 12-2 record in doubles action, a team best, all at the No. 3 position. Cook and Ramstedt pair up as a No. 1 doubles teammates where they are 11-4 overall.

Scouting Cal State Fullerton
Cal State Fullerton heads into the week with a 12-8 record, 4-4 in the Big West, and play both Westcliff (Apr. 17) and Pomona-Pitzer (Apr. 19) prior to the contest with the Anteaters. The Titans split their last time out with a 4-3 victory to Cal Poly before narrowly falling to No. 53 UC Santa Barbara, 4-3.
Three CSUF players have 12 wins in singles action. Natalie Duffy is 12-6 overall, holds an 8-3 record at the No. 3 spot, and is on a four-match win streak with a record of 8-2 over the last ten matches played. Seha Yu has also won four straight with seven of her victories coming at the fourth position. Lastly, Mariia Nikitash is a mainstay at the No. 6 position with her 7-2 record at that spot.

The pairing of Milena Gevorgyan and Yu have the most wins out of any Titan duo with eight and they have all come from the No. 3 doubles spot.
