SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team finished 13th at the 77th Western Intercollegiate Wednesday at Pasatiempo Golf Club.

In the final round, the Anteaters combined for their best 6-count-5 score of the tournament with a 365. They passed Hawai'i in the standings, finishing with a total of 1,123 (387-371-365).

No. 38 Stanford won the team title at 8-over 1,058. The Cardinal held a five-stroke advantage over runner-up and eighth-ranked Washington.
No. 9 Arizona's Filip Jakubcik was the individual medalist at 4-under 206.

Rei Harashima was UCI's top performer, tying for 25th at 4-over 214 (77-65-72).

Darien Zhao had the team's best round of the day, carding a 1-under 69. Zhao climbed 16 spots into a tie for 50th with a 54-hole score of 219 (75-75-69).

Jason Tang and
Yaoting Zou both had their best round of the tournament, coming in at 3-over 73. Tang eagled the par-5, 532-yard fourth hole. He tied for 76th at 227 (79-75-73), while Zou tied for 88th (233).
Jin Nakao also tied for 84th (230).

UC Irvine will now prepare for the 2024 Big West Championships, April 28-30, at La Quinta Country Club.
