LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- UC Irvine had a 13-stroke improvement, but remained in eighth place after the second round of the Big West Championships held at the Spanish Trail Country Club.
The Anteaters recorded a score of 306, carding eight birdies and are in eighth place with a two-round score of 625 (319-306).
Sophomore
Jasmine Chen moved up seven places after shooting the Anteaters' best round of the tournament with a 75 Monday and is tied for 26
th with a two-day total of 156 (81-75).
Freshman
Alyson Sor continues to lead the team with a 36-hole score of 155 (77-78) and is tied for 23
rd position. She ranks second among the tournament field with a Par 5 scoring mark (4.75).
Sophomore
Kiana Briggs is 29
th with a score of 157 (81-76), while junior
Charlotte Ryoo is tied for 30
th at 158 (81-77) and senior
Megan Yang is 40
th with a total of 162 (80-82).
The championship concludes tomorrow with a final round beginning at 8:00 a.m.
