AZUSA & LONG BEACH, Calif. --- Women's track and field concluded action at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and the Beach Invitational in Long Beach Saturday.
On the track,
Hallena Sutherland placed 14th and
Samantha Bartz was 18th in the 100m at 11.77 and 11.83, respectively. Sutherland's run was wind legal at +2.0 to put her sixth all-time at UCI.
Aryel Coats missed a personal record in the 200m by .01 as she finished 19th with a time of 24.76.
Best finish of the day went to
Alexis Alexander coming in eighth at 2:13.84 at the 800m.
Lauren Aquino paced the Anteater duo in the 400m with a 58.04 time placing 22nd.
Kailah McKenzie led the way in the field events coming in fourth in the high jump with a personal record of 1.71m. She added a 5.72m long jump placing 28th behind
Reyna Johnson who led the team at 5.88m and a finish of 16th.
Deandra Tyler led the trio of Anteaters in the shot put with a 14.15m throw placing 20th.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa,
Malia Gay just missed a personal record in the 1,500m placing sixth with a time of 4:25.30.
Next up for the Anteaters are the Mt. SAC Relays, a three-day event that begins Thursday, April 18 along with a one-day presence at the Chris Rinne Invitational at UC Riverside.
