IRVINE, Calif. - Junior Jolie Robinson has been named the Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Robinson was recognized after winning the heptathlon at the UCR Spring Classic Multis, March 21-22. She finished with 5,213 points to edge out Jada Sims of UCLA. Her score ranks first in all of NCAA Division I this season. She was just shy of her lifetime-best 5,343 which sits at No. 5 in school history.
 
Robinson entered the second day of the seven-event competition in third before finishing strong in the javelin (41.38m/135-9), long jump (5.61m/18-5) and 800m (2:29.61) to claim the title.
 
On the first day, Robinson established a personal-record 25.28 in the 200m and season bests in the high jump (1.59m/5-2.5) and shot put (11.64m/38-2.25).
 
Robinson is the reigning Big West heptathlon champion and was named the 2023 Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Year. This is her first career weekly award and first for the UCI women this season.
