IRVINE, Calif.— The Anteaters return to Irvine to host New Mexico (Feb. 23) before heading up to Los Angeles to face Cal State LA (Feb. 24).

- The match came down to the singles matches on courts two and three where the Aggies prevailed in extra points

- UCI and New Mexico are knotted in the all-time series, 1-1, and have not faced each other since 2007 when UCI won 4-3

Scouting New Mexico
New Mexico is 6-0 entering the weekend and will play UC Riverside at 11am on that Friday before making the trip over to Irvine. The Lobos have played three matches this season where they have defeated their opposition by one point (4-3): Seattle University, Gonzaga, and Northern Arizona.
Both Hsuan Huang and Maud Vandeputte lead New Mexico with their 5-1 records in individual play. Huang is a perfect 2-0 at No. 2 and 3-1 at No. 3 while M. Vandeputte is 2-0 at No. 3 and 3-1 at No. 4. Leonie Hoppe and Katherine Jhang are a strong pairing at the No. 1 doubles position where they are 4-0 on the year.
Scouting Cal State Los Angeles
Cal State Los Angeles is 1-4 to start the season and most recently dropped to both Concordia University Irvine (L, 7-0) and Dominican (L, 6-1) over the weekend. The Golden Eagles victory was a 4-3 triumph at Westmont to kick off the season.
Senior Sakura Kurokawa holds a 2-2 record on the year with all four of her matches played at the No. 3 position. Kurokawa has also earned a win at No.1 doubles with partner Sarah Olmos.
