Anteaters End Successful Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational

WASHINGTON, Utah – Freshman Alyson Sor posted her first collegiate top 10 performance to lead UC Irvine on the final day of the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational.

Sor fired an even par 72 on the final round to finish in a tie for sixth place with a score of 224 (77-75-72). Sor led the Anteaters with 10 birdies overall which was tied for second most among the field, carding four on the final round. Her sixth-place finish is not only a personal best but the best finish for a UCI player this season.

The Anteaters had their highest finish of the season, placing tied for third with a three-round score of 914 (296-309-309). UCI topped the tournament field in Par 3 coring at 3.07 (+4) and were second in birdies, totaling 32 over the 54 holes.

Charlotte Ryoo had her best round of the tournament, a 75, carding three birdies over Holes 4-7 Tuesday and moving up nine spots to finish in a tie for 16th place. The junior had a total of 233 (81-77-75) over the three days.

Jasmine Chen battled her way through the final 18 holes to finish in a tie for 16th, her second top 20 performance of the season. She followed Sor with nine birdies over the three-day event with a score of 233 (78-71-84).

Senior Megan Yang was tied for fourth among tournament participants with 35 pars on her way to a score of 235 (80-75-80). She ended the tournament in a tie for 22nd place.

A highlight of Tuesday's final round was Kiana Briggs's eagle on the Par 4 13th hole. She ended the tournament in a tie for 27th place with a three-round score of 237 (77-83-77).
