SAN FRANCISCO - The UC Irvine men's tennis team continued its dominance in singles with four straight-set wins to defeat the University of San Francisco, 4-1, Saturday at Goldman Tennis Center.

It was the Anteaters' third-straight victory as they improved to 4-1 on the year. Their only loss came at seventh-ranked USC.

The Dons (1-1) held the early advantage, taking the doubles point with identical 6-3 triumphs on courts two and three.

The 'Eaters quickly evened it up in singles with
Rithvik Krishna's 6-3, 6-1 victory over Giovanni Branchetti at No. 4. Krishna remained unbeaten in dual matches at 3-0.

Noah Zamora then put UCI on top after dispatching Nikola Kuraica, 6-2, 6-2, at the third position.
Enrique Luque Rico followed suit at the top of the lineup where he took down Moritz Hoffmann, 6-4, 6-1. Luque Rico has played every match at No. 1 and is now 4-1 on the season.

Brandon Park, who was making his dual-match singles debut, delivered the clinching point with an impressive 6-4, 6-0 win over Davide Cortimiglia at the sixth spot.

In their unfinished matches,
Hiroki Sakagawa was up 7-5, 3-0 at No. 2, while
Andy Nguyen split his first two sets, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 5.

UC Irvine is back in action tomorrow when it heads to Santa Clara for a 12 p.m. showdown.
