Zamora Selected for NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championships

IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine men's tennis senior Noah Zamora is one of 64 student-athletes selected for the NCAA Singles Championships the NCAA officially announced on Monday.
This is year one of a two-year pilot for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be held in the spring. The 2024-25 singles and doubles competition will be conducted, Nov. 19-24, at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, with Baylor serving as the host.
Participants qualified to the Division I singles and doubles championships via competition in approved qualifying pathway events. Zamora punched his ticket as a finalist at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in Tempe, Arizona. He dropped only one set in five-straight wins against opponents from UCLA, Arizona, UC Santa Barbara, LMU and Hawai'i.
Zamora, who is ranked 121st in the nation, is the Anteaters' first NCAA individual qualifier since 2011. He is also the only Big West representative in next week's field. He has been a part of two NCAA Tournament teams at UCI after leading the 'Eaters to the 2022 and 2024 Big West Championship.
The draws will be announced no later than 6 p.m. (CT)/ 4 p.m. (PT) on Saturday, November 16.
