IRVINE, Calif. – The Anteaters flexed their dominance in their return to their home court as they swept both the singles and doubles portions in the first day of the UC Irvine Fall Invitational.
 
UCI collected nine total individual victories and five in pairs against Biola.
 
Junior Asha Gidwani and sophomore Bella Pitchford were the only two 'Eaters who did not give up a point in one of their single match sets with Gidwani going unbeaten in the first and Pitchford securing her win in the second.
 
Both Haily Huynh and Yen Nhi Huynh were taken to extra points in their second sets and were successful to take the two set wins. The lone three-setter of the morning came in Nour Khayat's match against Andres where the junior battled from a 7-5 deficit in the first game to take the final two 7-5, 6-2.
 
Over in doubles action, Gidwani, who was teamed up with Khayat held Cal State Los Angeles top duo of Takamura/Olmos to a scoreless draw, 8-0.
