LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Anteaters saw two victories, one in singles and one in doubles, on a tough third day of action at the Beach Fall Invitational.
 
Junior Haily Huynh picked up UC Irvine's lone individual victory of the day. Huynh forced a third set after battling to 7-5 in the second and then went 10-5 for the win (2-6, 7-5, 10-5). Her sister, Maily Huynh, also had a three-set match where she collected a 6-1 first set win, but fell narrowly in the second, 6-4, and dropped the match 10-4 in the third.
 
After a day off action, Carolyna Fowler and Bella Pitchford picked up doubles action and faced the strong duo of Youssef and Wong out of UC Davis. With an extra point forced in the set, the Fowler/Pitchford pairing survived for a 7-5 win.
