How did you get started playing basketball?
My parents knew I was going to be tall so they wanted me playing a sport where it would be an advantage. I was around 7 years old when I started playing basketball with my friend.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?
Lately, it's been Alanna Smith. She's Australian and (recently) played in the WNBA Finals with the Minnesota Lynx. She also played really well at the Olympics this year, but in her career, she got cut and made it back to the top so I just love her resilience and fight to get back.

Did you play any other sports growing up?
I did surf life saving as a competitive sport and I played a bit of volleyball as well.

What made you pursue basketball?
It was always something I've done and as I kept getting better and progressing through the ranks, it was just something I wanted to keep going with.

Do you have any family members who played a sport?
My dad was a rower and my mom did track & field. My younger sister plays basketball as well.

How was the transition for you leaving home and coming to the United States to play college basketball?
Freshman year was a roller coaster, but now that I'm used to it and not so homesick it's really enjoyable.

Why UCI?
The coaches, the program they've built, the players, it's a great academic school and a great location. It's got everything.

Do you know what you want to do after college?
Not really, there are a lot of different pathways I can see myself going in, but I came here to get through University, do well and see what happens afterward.
