LONG BEACH, Calif. – UC Irvine had another come-from-behind thrilling five-set win beating Long Beach State (26-28, 25-23, 16-25, 25-17, 17-15) at the Walter Pyramid Friday night.
The Anteaters trailed 13-9 in the fifth before out-scoring The Beach 8-2 to close out the match. Libero
Campbell Jensen was at the service line for five points, including firing two aces in a 5-0 run.
UCI had a season-high 14 aces, which is second most in the Big West this season. Jensen tied her career-high with five aces on the night.
It was the first win in Long Beach for UCI since Oct 5, 2018 as the Anteaters improve to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in the Big West. LBSU goes to 11-6 on the year and 5-2 in Big West action.
