Vogtmann Receives Second Big West Athlete of the Week Honor

IRVINE, Calif. - For the second time this season, senior Anna Vogtmann has been named the Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Vogtmann was recognized by the conference for her performance at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, which featured two nationally-ranked and six regionally-ranked programs. Running in an elite field of 154 athletes, Vogtmann came in 30th with a 6K time of 20:51.6. She was the top Big West finisher and has now led UC Irvine in both of her races this season.
This is the third career weekly award for Vogtmann.
The Anteaters will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Highlander Invitational in Riverside. It is their final tune-up before the Big West Championship (Nov. 2).
