IRVINE, Calif. - Junior
Reyna Johnson has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Johnson was recognized for her performance at the season-opening Spokane Indoor Challenge where she won the long jump with a school-record 5.89 meters (19-4). Johnson was sitting in second place when she hit the record-breaking mark on her sixth and final attempt to take over the top spot. She joined teammate
Jolie Robinson (19-2) as the only two Anteaters to surpass 19 feet in the long jump in indoor program history.

Johnson also competed in the 60m hurdles where she advanced to the final and finished third overall. The Sacramento native clocked a personal-best 8.66 seconds, which ranks fifth among UCI's all-time leaders.
The 'Eaters are back in action this Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational in Albuquerque.
