>UC Irvine enters the week ranked ninth in the CWPA Preseason Poll, dropping one spot after various movements in the upper half of the polls

Samuel Otta was named the Big West Player of the Week on Sept. 13 for his seven goals, seven assists, four drawn exclusions, nine steals, three field blocks, and two sprint wins in a 2-1 week for UC Irvine
