PROVO, Utah – Freshman
Alyson Sor had a team-low 68 on the final round at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational at the Timpanogos Golf Club.
After shooting two rounds of 73, Sor posted the lowest round for the Anteaters with a 68 Tuesday. She had five birdies including three on the final nine holes.
Sor and sophomore
Kiana Briggs (69-74-71) tied for 17
th place with a score of 214.
Sophomore
Jasmine Chen recorded four birdies and shot even par 72 on the final round. She was tied for 37
th place with a score of 218 (77-69-72). Junior
Charlotte Ryoo was tied for 67
th with a score of 225 (74-77-74) and senior
Coco Yang was 93
rd with a three-round total of 236 (80-78-78).
UCI had its best round Tuesday, recording a team score of 285 to finish with a total of 866 (293-293-285) to place 10
th.
Grand Canyon won the tournament with a 27-under par 837, while Fresno State's Katelyn Lehigh carded a 201 (67-65-69) to earn medalist honors.
Next, UCI will compete at the Molly Invitational Sept. 25-26. Oregon State is the host at Bayonet Golf Course in Monterey, Calif.
