IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine sophomore Kennedy East was named the Big West Player of the Week after leading the Anteaters to an 11-10 victory over then No. 4 Hawai'i.

This is the first honor of East's career, first of the season.

In the battle for Big West supremacy, East scored four goals in five shot attempts in the win in Honolulu. The attacker's final two goals came in the last two minutes of the game, the first with 1:52 remaining to tie the game back up at 10-10 before winning the game for the Anteaters at 1:06.
 
The sophomore had the lone assist for UCI and was also credited for a steal that then led into her final goal. The contest overall saw 10 ties.

East and the Anteaters are set to host No. 7 Long Beach State on Saturday April 22^nd at 12 p.m. at the Anteater Aquatics Complex.
