Robinson Kicks off Action at Mt. SAC Relays Heptathlon

WALNUT, Calif. - Sophomore Jolie Robinson kicked off a busy week for the UC Irvine women's track & field team with the first day of the elite section of the heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays Wednesday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Robinson compiled 2,940 points through the first four events. She opened the competition with a time of 15.34 seconds in the 100m hurdles. Robinson then went into the high jump where she had her second-best height of the season at 5-02.5. She owns a clearance of at least five feet in all four of her high jump competitions this year.
In the shot put, Robinson hit a personal-record 37-09.5 on her first attempt and that stood as her best of the afternoon. She then made her way back to the track for the 200m and clocked in at 26.08 seconds.
Robinson will be back in action tomorrow with the final three events of the Mt. SAC Relays Heptathlon starting at 11 a.m. The Anteaters will also compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational and Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Thursday.
