MILLBRAE, Calif. -- UC Irvine wrapped up the Silicon Valley Showcase with a pair of Top 20 performances Tuesday at the Green Hills Country Club.
Megan Yang bounced back with a one-over par 72 on the final round to finish in a tie for 16
th with a score of 228 (73-83-72). She had three birdies Tuesday and six for the tournament.
Kiana Briggs tied for 20
th, her best collegiate finish with a three round total of 230 (75-74-81). She match Yang with six birdies.
Jasmine Chen was 38
th with a score of 237 (78-83-76), while
Charlotte Ryoo was 48
th at 245 977-87-81) and
Nicole Zhang was tied for 49
th with a total of 248 (86-81-81).
The Anteaters ended in seventh place with a 54-hole score of 934 (303-321-310). Top-ranked Stanford and No. 25 Pepperdine shared the title (869).
In a quick turnaround, UCI will head to the Big West Championship Sunday-Tuesday (Apr. 16-18) at the Spanish Trail Country Club.
