UCI Downs Cal St. LA, 7-0

IRVINE, Calif. – UCI downs Cal State LA, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The 'Eaters improve to 3-0 on the season, their best start since the 2018-19 season when they won the first four matches.

The pair of Alyssia Fossorier and Jenna Schlatter won their No. 2 doubles contest 6-1 to clinch the doubles point for the Anteaters.

In the fifth singles position, Haily Huynh won the match for UC Irvine with her 6-0, 6-2 victory over Cal St. LA's Savaughna Mayo.

"Cal State LA was a handful last season, so it was nice to get a smoother result this time around," said head coach Elizabeth Ferris-Smith. "Also, great to get two wins against Olmos as she had our number last season. Looking forward to a great match with Sacramento State."
