Box Score MALIBU, Calif. – It took No. 7 UC Irvine two hours and 40 minutes to beat No. 6 Pepperdine, 3-2 (29-27, 20-25, 25-20, 27-29, 15-9) at Firestone Fieldhouse Wednesday.

Francesco Sani posted a career-high six block assists.
The Anteaters also had nine aces and took advantage of 28 Pepperdine service errors. Both squads are 8-3 overall.
