IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine had 50 student-athletes named to the 2022 Big West Fall All-Academic Team the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
 
The Anteaters' women's cross country squad led the way with a program-best 15 selections. Women's soccer also set a program record with 11 honorees.
 
Men's cross country saw nine of its 11 student-athletes earn all-academic recognition, while men's soccer (8) and women's volleyball (7) rounded out UCI's fall selections.
 
To be eligible for the Big West All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, complete one full year at their member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received and compete in at least 50% of their team's contests. Cross country student-athletes can also meet the participation requirement by competing in the conference championship.
