FULLERTON, Calif. – Opposite Hunter Riedl and middle blockers Isabella Scarlett and Ella Gardiner dominated in UC Irvine's 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-19, 25-23) over Cal State Fullerton at Titan Gym Tuesday night.

UCI hit a season-high .344 (45-12-96) and held a 7-4 block advantage.

Riedl led UCI for the fourth consecutive match with 15 kills, hitting .423 (15-4-26).

Scarlett had eight kills on nine swings without an error (.889) and a team-high four total blocks (1 solo, 3 assisted). Gardiner hit .500 with seven kills and three total blocks (1 solo, 2 assisted).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Outside hitter Emma Napoleon added six kills, an ace and four digs
>Outside hitter Marianna Bertolone had five kills and three digs
>Setter Nicole Feliciano totaled 36 set assists, seven digs and three kills
>Libero Campbell Jensen had a match-high 14 digs
>Cal State Fullerton (1-13, 0-5) was led by Aubrey Beaver's 13 kills
>UCI out-dug CSF 41-31, but the Titans had seven aces to UCI's three

FIRST SET
>Three Hunter Riedl kills started the match only to watch the Titans score the next four
>Tied at 5-5, UCI used a pair of CSF attack errors, an ace by Kendra MacDonald ad a kill by Nicole Feliciano to take a 9-5 lead
>A block by Isabella Scarlett stretched the lead to 12-7
>A 5-1 run by the Titans tied the set at 14-14
>Kills by Riedl and Ella Gardiner followed to move UCI back in front 16-14
>Two UCI errors and an ace by Cal State Fullerton knotted the score again, 17-17
>A pair of kills by CSF's Aubrey Beaver and a block pushed the Titans past UCI 21-19
>UCI would then explode, scoring the final six points on back-to-back kills by Scarlett and Emma Napoleon, Titan attack that sailed long, a block by Riedl and Scarlett and two more Titan attack errors, 25-21

SECOND SET
>Riedl had two kills and assisted on a block as UCI out-scored CSF 6-1 to go up 6-4
>Two Marianna Bertolone kills made it 10-8 then two from Scarlett made it 12-9
>Another Riedl kill stretched the lead to 16-11
>Gardiner smashed a kill off the slide then Napoleon had an ace, 21-14
>Kills by Riedl and Scarlett ended the set, 25-19

THIRD SET
>A kill by Napoleon, an ace by Indy De Smet and a solo block by Gardiner got UCI within one, 12-13
>A kill by Bertolone plus two from Scarlett and two Titan attack errors catapulted UCI to an 18-15 lead
>UCI led 21-20 before Riedl and Feliciano put away kills to increase the margin to 23-20
>The Titans wouldn't go away, closing to 23-22, but a Napoleon kill held off a tie
>After a Titan kill, Bertolone ended the match 25-23

>UCI snaps a three match losing streak and goes to 4-12 overall and 2-3 in the Big West
>The Anteaters have topped the Titans the last four outings
>Jensen has recorded digs in double-figures 13 times this season
