LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- UC Irvine finished in fourth place at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational held at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club with a two-day score of 877 (298-286-293).
The fourth place performance is the highest for an Anteater team since they were second at the Fresno State Classic on Mar. 22, 2022.
UCI had 185 pars over the two days, which was fourth best among the 22-team field. They also tallied 31 birdies, led by
Kiana Briggs' eight.
UCI was led by senior
Megan Yang who was 16
th with a three-round total of 219 (75-70-74). It was a top 20 performance in her first tournament of the season.
Briggs recorded a 54-hole total of 220 (74-72-74) and was tied for 17
th place. She was tied for second on Par 5 scoring with a four-under 4.67.
Freshman
Alyson Sor ended in a tie for 24
th place at 221 (73-75-73), while sophomore
Jasmine Chen was toed for 31
st with a score of 222 (81-69-72). For the second consecutive round, Chen paced UCI with a team-low score, recording an even par 72. Â Junior
Charlotte Ryoo placed in a tie for 59
th with a score of 227 (76-75-76).
The Anteaters will round out the Fall schedule at The Clash at Boulder Creek on Oct. 22-23 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
