NORTHRIDGE, Calif. --- UC Irvine women's soccer couldn't find a breakthrough drawing 0-0 at Matador Field against CSUN Sunday afternoon.

- The Anteaters had the majority of the chances in the first half with seven shots to CSUN's two. Laila El Behery had a pair of shots on frame in the final five minutes. The best chance of the half was from CSUN's Kacie Garrity in the 24th minute with a shot near the top of the box that Glo Hinojosa needed to leap to stop
- As the teams began the second half still knotted 0-0, the Matadors picked up a red card as keeper Hayden Mauldin impeded UCI with a foul in the box to deny a scoring chance. Kennedy Williams replaced her as Tati Fung stepped up for a penalty and made the save to keep the match level in the 49th minute
- UC Irvine pushed the envelope looking for that opening score with five shots in the first 15 minutes following the card
- Chance after chance came including five more shots on target with Williams getting to each one to preserve the scoreless, 0-0 draw
- The Anteaters pick up points in their fourth straight match now on 13 points with one match remaining
- Glo Hinojosa held her own with two saves on the match to pick up her 27th career shutout
- UCI finished with advantages in shots, 19-4, and corners, 7-1

The result did earn the Anteaters a berth in the Big West Championship as they stand in a tie for fifth place on 13 points (3-2-4) and an overall record of 6-6-5. CSUNÂ was eliminated from postseason play and now sit with an overall record of 1-13-4 and 1-5-3 in Big West.
UC Irvine's seed in the Big West Championship is yet to be determined, but the team can finish as high as fourth and as low as sixth.
The regular season finishes up in Anteater Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff against UC Davis
