· UC Irvine is on seven points (2-3-1) in Big West play placing them in a three-way tie for the fifth and sixth Big West Championship positions. The top six schools play in the postseason tournament, top four will host a home game, and top two earn a bye
· Luke Pruter is approaching the Anteater top 10 in saves now with 125 for his career. He's six behind Damon Ellis and 16 behind Scott Zinser's 141 in 10th
· Notable Anteater stat leaders begin with Ricardo Ibarra who tops the roster with 73 career matches played, 58 starts, and 4,929 minutes. In addition, his nine career assists lead all active Anteaters
· Jake Means is the only 'Eater with two goals this year and leads active 'Eaters with seven in his career. He's also tops the team with 92 shots, 40 on target, and netted his first career game-winner in the match at Omaha
· Two Anteaters have earned weekly honors in 2023, both as Big West Freshmen of the Week starting with Mauricio Gutierrez Sept. 4 following a game-winner vs. Gonzaga and last week Brady Treinen's had an assist and two shutouts on defense
· The Anteaters have drawn three crowds of over 1,000 fans this season including the second-largest in program history vs. UC Riverside at 1,927

Wednesday vs. the Mustangs - 6:00 PM
· Cal Poly begins the week a point ahead of the Anteaters at 2-2-2 in Big West play with wins over CSUN and UCSD and draws with UC Riverside and Sac State. The Mustangs also had non-conference wins over Air Force and Gonzaga sitting at 4-6-3 overall. The 'Eaters lead the all-time series, 21-14-9, with four wins and a draw in the last five meetings in Anteater Stadium
· The Mustangs sit middle of the Big West in most statistical categories but sit in last with 9.7 shots and 3.3 corners per match. The defense can be stout with Wednesday matchup between the two teams allowing the least shots on target with Cal Poly at 54 and UC Irvine at 48. Top scorers Jackson Kestler and Luke Schaefer have four goals apiece and 46 shots between them

Saturday at the Hornets - 3:00 PM
· Sac State enters much like CSUN did last week winless in their last 10 (0-6-4). They're 3-8-4 including losses to Gonzaga and Saint Mary's, and in conference have draws with CSUB, CSUN, and Cal Poly while recently losing by a goal to Cal State Fullerton. UCI leads all-time 12-8-4 with two wins last season and a 3-1-2 mark since coach Raz took over.
· The Hornets have allowed the most shots on target at 108 giving up 26 goals. They're on the attack with the second-most corners earned and offside calls. Austin Wehner has picked up the slack with four goals and four assists since Dominic Vegaalban went down in September scoring four times in the first six matches. Keeper Mac Learned is tested with 5.5 saves per match.
