ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UC Irvine women's indoor track & field team broke two school records on the first day of the UNM Team Open Friday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

On the track, graduate student Emma McCarthy made her way to the top of UCI's all-time charts in the 600m. McCarthy clocked a program-best 1:33.74 to beat the previous record of 1:33.93 that was set by Crystal Lizaola in 2017. McCarthy claimed runner-up honors in the race. Freshman Reina Kabbara also had a sixth-place finish with her time of 1:38.35 ranking seventh in school history.
