IRVINE, Calif. --- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches unveiled their picks for the All-Academic Team Tuesday morning with 16 Anteaters honored. The team as a whole earned All-Academic distinction with a 3.34 GPA as a program.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average above 3.20. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average, athletes earns Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) or Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition.
Three 'Eaters earn Outstanding status with GPAs above 3.70 who were
Tara Prentice,
Jensine Bugelli, and
Gabby Norris.
The majority of the honorees received Superior status with the group of
Kennedy East,
Kili Skibby,
Brooke Banta,
Mica Schiavone,
Faith Tedesco,
Maeve Murphy,
Sarah Nichols,
Ariana Bockstahler,
Piper Smith, and
Elena Flynn.
Three other Anteaters scored Excellet honors in the trio of
Isabel Rack,
Jessica Lynch, and
Jordan Frost.
