Noah Holm Wraps up NCAA Regional Action

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -
Noah Holm concluded his NCAA West Preliminary Championship debut in the discus throw Friday at John McDonnell Field.
 
Holm, who finished 42nd in the West Region, opened the competition with a toss of 49.35m (161-11). After fouling on his second attempt, he saw a slight improvement in the third and final round at 49.39m (162-00).
 
Holm was a two-event regional qualifier as he also competed in the shot put on Wednesday. The Long Beach, California, native closes out the season with lifetime-bests of 183-06 in the discus and 58-08.75 in the shot put, both of which rank among the top-four in school history. He was the Big West champion in the shot put and also earned all-conference honors with a third-place finish in the discus.
