DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team finished fifth at the Big West Championships Saturday at UC Davis.

Noah Holm, who claimed the shot put title on Friday, made his way back to the podium with a third-place showing in the discus (177-01). Senior
Kyle Tsu (166-11) and sophomore
Jacob Hawkins (162-03) also scored in the event as they were fifth and seventh, respectively.

On the track, sophomore
Drew Pickett claimed runner-up honors in the 110-meter hurdles. He clocked in at 14.20, which was just .10 seconds off his lifetime best. Junior
Josh Farmer added a personal-record 14.89 to come in sixth.

Miles Duncan improved on his 800m finish from a year ago as he took fourth overall with a time of 1:50.76.

Freshman
Zeid Hussain was 13th in the 5,000-meter (15:23.69), and sophomore
Cameron Smith, who scored in the steeplechase on Friday, came in 18th (15:35.69).
Quincy Stokes was also 14th in the hammer (167-08).
