UCI is back on the road to Hawai'i for matches Friday and Saturday ending with the Rainbow Wahine in the first of five straight Big West contests to finish the regular season

Storylines
- The Anteaters have won three of their last four matches, and have put up points in 11 straight matches
- The 'Eaters have seven wins coming against UC Riverside, Idaho, Caltech, Cal State LA, Westmont, Hope International, and George Fox
- Two of UCI's first four matches were Big West contests including the season opener at UC Davis. UCI is 1-3 in Big West play
- Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico leads the squad with 10 dual singles wins, all coming at No. 1. She's won eight straight singles matches
- Other winning records in singles are Emily Fowler at 9-5, Alyssia Fossorier at 8-6, Dasee Carter now 4-2, and 2-1 for Megan Mansonhing after winning her last match. Jessica Tsukiji has won four straight matches and can get back to .500 on the dual season with wins this weekend
- The team is now above .500 in dual singles at 49-46
- Anteater doubles are 28-21 overall with seven wins from the duo of Alyssia Fossorier and Jessica Tsukiji
- Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico is 11-2 overall in doubles between four different doubles partners and won nine consecutive doubles sets
- Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico claimed her first career Big West Player of the Week award on March 21 going 5-0 across singles and doubles two weeks ago
- The Anteaters competed in three fall tournaments and the CSUF Spring Invite to start 2022 taking home a total of 27 singles wins and eight doubles wins
- The women's tennis squad finished the fall quarter with the highest grade point average in UCI athletics. "This team takes great pride in their studies and I'm so happy they are being recognized for all their efforts. This is quite an impressive accomplishment," praised coach Ferris.
- Five Anteaters were among the 113 student-athletes on the Fall 2021 Dean's List - Dasee Carter, Megan Mansonhing, Shreya Pavani, Mia Totah, and Jessica Tsukiji - by taking 12 or more units with a 3.500 GPA or higher

- UC Irvine was scheduled to play two matches, but after a cancelation hosted just one winning 7-0 vs. Westmont
- The 'Eaters did not drop a set in doubles or singles in the sweep
- UCI doubles outscored the Warriors, 18-4. Singles earned six sweeps dropping 25 points in total
Chaminade Silverswords
UC Irvine added a match on their trip to Hawai'i playing Division II program, Chaminade, Friday prior to the Big West match. The Swords have played just seven matches, some against lower-division schools, and others against the likes of Bucknell and UC Riverside.
The seven-player roster has yet to win a point in any of their matches this season. Junior Kayleen Lau and Salamasina Te'i Robertson guide the squad as the top doubles duo and Nos. 1 and 2 singles players along with freshman Kylie Ye playing No. 3 singles.
Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine
The 'Bows are coming up on the last matches of their regular season at 8-7 with three matches remaining and two Big West including UCI. The Rainbow Wahine are 5-2 in Big West dropping the last two matches in road matches at UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly. Prior to the recent four-match road losing streak, Hawai'i had built a seven-match win streak on the island which catapulted them into the national rankings briefly.
Lea Romain and Satsuki Takamura guide the 'Bows each sharing No. 1 singles. Romain has eight dual wins along with Ana Vilcek also with a No. 1 win. Tal Talya Zandberg tops the team with 10 dual singles wins between Nos. 3 and 4 singles. Gitte Heynemans adds nine wins over her own at Nos. 5 and 6. Doubles play has 16 set wins overall led by the duo of Heynemans and Nidhi Surapneni at 6-4 in doubles play across all three positions.
