LONG BEACH, Calif. --- UC Irvine women's tennis traveled Saturday to Long Beach State losing in a sweep, 7-0, at Rhodes Tennis Center.
Doubles play produced the first point for Long Beach State winning at Nos. 1 and 2 by scores of 6-2 and 6-3 with a lead at No. 3 before it could be finished.
The Beach swept through singles play as UC Irvine was unable to take a set off them at any position.
Alyssia Fossorier's seven games won at No. 4 singles led the Anteaters as they fell for a fourth straight match.
UC Irvine finishes the regular season on Sunday with another 11:00 a.m. match on the road at Cal State Fullerton. UCI stands at 8-14 on the year with a 1-7 mark in Big West play.
