AZUSA, Calif. - UC Irvine women's track & field had a trio of distance runners in action on the first day of the Bryan Clay Invitational, and all three established lifetime bests Wednesday evening at Cougar Athletic Stadium.
Hannah Chau led the way with a ninth-place showing in the 10,000-meter run. She crossed the finish line in a personal-record 34:43.17, improving her No. 4 time in program history by 10 seconds.
Sameen Andar also joined Chau among UCI's all-time leaders in the 10K as her mark of 35:11.84 ranks fifth.
Montgomery Allison notched a personal-best 10:55.38 in the steeplechase, bettering her time that was already fourth in school history by .31 seconds. It was her third PR in as many meets.
UC Irvine is back in action tomorrow at both the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach.
