IRVINE, Calif.— The ACWPC Division I Men's Water Polo All-American teams were announced Monday afternoon with two Anteaters, Tyler Padua and Ethan Shipman, named to the Honorable Mention squad.
 
Padua was elected to the Golden Coast Conference Honorable Mention team following his athletic success from his freshman campaign. Tyler led the 'Eaters with 47 exclusions drawn and had 40 goals and 12 steals in his sophomore season. The sophomore played in all 29 games this fall.
 
Shipman continues to earn postseason accolades in his first season with UCI. The Golden Coast Conference Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-Conference recipient played in every game for the Anteaters and led the squad in assists (29), points (82), and steals (22). He is second in goals with 53 and field blocks with nine. Ethan was a top-10 leader in the GCC in these categories.
 
This is the first time since 2017 where more than one Anteater has been named to an ACWPC All-American team. UCI finished the season with a 16-13 record, 2-3 in Golden Coast Conference play as the Anteaters finished ranked 11^th in the nation.
