
UCI Concludes Final Day of San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team wrapped up action at the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic with four singles matches against host University of San Diego Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Noah Zamora completed a perfect weekend in singles action, winning his third match in as many days. The San Diego native was resilient as he rebounded from a first-set loss to top the Toreros' Lambert Ruland, 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. Zamora improved to 5-1 on the season.
Sophomore Brandon Park and senior Matthew Sah also took their respective opponents to a third set but were unable to complete the comeback. Park fell to Christian Kuehne 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, while Sah dropped a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 decision to Nikhil Niranjan.
The Anteaters will be back in action Oct. 21-24 at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in Malibu, California.
