Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – No. 11 UC Irvine men's water polo (12-10) fell to GCC foe T-No.3 Pacific (18-4) 18-13 on Friday night.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

FIRST PERIOD
>An exclusion on the Tiger's Jeramie Cote led to an Anteater goal from Stewart Campbell (6:43) on the one man advantage before Tyler Padua (5:58) beat the goalie at full strength, 2-0
>No. 3 Pacific quickly netted the game 2-2 (4:53, 4:10) in less than a minute
>Jack Stevens (3:46), with some help from Zachary Baxter, put one in the back of the goal, 3-2
>Cote, with his second exclusion of the game, set Dylan Patist (1:22) up for a power play scoring opportunity, 4-2
>The Tiger's wasted no time in the deficit, clawing their way back with two goals in the final minute of play for the period, 4-4

SECOND PERIOD
>On the Anteaters' first possession Stevens (7:12) took the pass from Jake Liechty to score, 5-4
>UOP answered the next trip down at 6:34, 5-5
>No. 3 Pacific took their first lead of the game at 4:19 on a power play, 5-6
>The two squads exchanged goals, first was Ethan Shipman for the Anteaters at 3:25 before Reuel D'Souza put one away for the Tiger's to maintain their lead, 6-7  
>UOP took a timeout with 58 seconds left in the half to regroup before denting the twine six seconds later, 6-8
>Shipman (0:15) netted his second goal of the period while UCI was up with an extra attacker to close out the period, 7-8
 
THIRD PERIOD
>No. 3 Pacific scored on back-to-back possessions, before Patist (4:52) was able to fire a shot off for UCI, 8-10
>Off a rebound, UOP was able to capitalize to increase their lead, 8-11
>Solan Kedzie (3:50) placed one on frame for the 'Eater's, 9-11
>UCI called for a full timeout at the 2:50 mark as the Tiger's scored two unanswered, 9-13
>Padua (1:16) was able to launch one into the cage, 10-13
>Steven's committed an exclusion which allowed No. 3 Pacific to score on a five-meter attempt, 10-14
 
FOURTH PERIOD
>On UCI's first possession, Padua (7:39) completed the hat-trick, 11-14
>No. 3 Pacific scored three unanswered, forcing UC Irvine to call a timeout at 2:40, 11-17
>Samuel Otta (2:01, 1:07) added two back-to-back tallies to the Anteater's column, 13-17
