SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's tennis team picked up three victories on the second day of the ITA Southwest Regional Friday at Barnes Tennis Center.
 
The Anteaters won two of their four doubles matches in the morning. Alyssia Fossorier and Jenna Schlatter dispatched Mariia Nikitash/Megan Tagaloa of Cal State Fullerton, 8-1. The sister duo of Carolyna Fowler and Emily Fowler also took down UC San Diego's Lu Chen/Rachel Wagner, 8-2.
 
Moving on to singles play in the afternoon, Haily Huynh led UCI as she made quick work of Tagaloa (CSF), 6-1, 6-1.
 
Larissa Teramura went down to the wire with Marta Gonzalez-Ballbe from UC Santa Barbara but ended up falling in a super tiebreaker, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.
 
Fossorier, C. Fowler, Cydney Yamamoto and Nour Khayat also fell in their respective matches.
