BERKELEY, Calif. – No. 13 UC Irvine fell to No. 9 UC San Diego, 15-6, on the second day of the MPSF Invitational Saturday afternoon.

UCI falls to 5-4 on the season while UCSD improves to 9-4 overall.

> Zlatan Nikocevic led the Anteaters with two goals

> Patist scored for the 'Eaters with 1:19 remaining before UCSD answered with a goal in the final minute to go up, 12-4

> Hilde-Jones struck first in the final frame before Swieca fired in a goal at 5:14 to make it 13-5
> UCSD added a pair of goals while UCI's Baxter scored on a powerplay at 3:35
> The Anteaters would ultimately suffer the 15-6 defeat
