WASHINGTON, D.C. --- UC Irvine men's soccer's season opener at fifth-ranked Georgetown was postponed due to inclement weather Thursday afternoon.

After a 30-minute delay due to excessive heat, the match was then delayed due to thunderstorms before finally ending all chances of playing on Thursday. The sides will instead play Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. PT, 11:30 a.m. ET in Washington, D.C.
