From the day they are born, kids learn things from their mothers via mimicry.
Mom smiles, child smiles… Mom yells, child yells.
A good mom teaches her kids to be appreciative of what they have. A great mom does so via blatantly obvious example. An amazing mom is able to do so while gifting them countless things to be appreciative of.
You mom, are an amazing mom. Quite truthfully, the best mom.
I am not just who you taught me to be, I am a reflection of the amazing, wonderful, confident, joyful, honest, grateful, polite, humble, loving person that you are.
Thank you for teaching me how to be kind, how to love and what it means to be loved. Thank you for not only always being my number one supporter, but my number one fan. Thank you for showing me how to have fun in this world and how to make fun out of everything that crosses my path.
I want you to know that when I'm successful, when I feel good about myself, when I overcome something that's daunting to me, when I dream big and then dream bigger… it's because I feel your strength inside me.
I'm so happy and thankful to be myself in this world, and I want you to know that I see all that you had to sacrifice, all the things you had to do, so that I could become me.
And I realize that I wouldn't be me if you hadn't been you.
I want you to always know I love you, and I'm so grateful you're my mom.
Love,
Doug & Conner
