Schneidmiller; Nsakanda Pace UCI in Loss To UC Santa Barbara

Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Senior Joel Schneidmiller and junior Alexandre Nsakanda paced UCI in a 3-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara at Robertson Gym Wednesday.

The Gauchos won 25-17, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 to improve to 8-4 overall and 4-3 in the Big West. UCI goes to 2-9 on the year and 2-5 in league action.

Schneidmiller had 19 points on 18 kills, two block assists and five digs, while hitting .433. Nsakanda followed with a season-high 10 kills, a team-best six digs and UCI's lone ace

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Middle blocker Scott Stadick led all players with five blocksto go with eight kills
>Libero Cole Gillis matched Nsakanda with six digs
>Outside hitter Doug Dahm pitched-in seven kills, while middle blocker Connor Campbell had four kills and four block assists

FIRST SET
