Box Score LA JOLLA, Calif. – The tables were turned Friday as UC San Diego took a 3-2 victory over UC Irvine (25-16, 24-26, 26-28, 21-25, 15-7) at the RIMAC Arena.
In another role reversal from UCI's win on Friday, the Tritons out-blocked the Anteaters, 13.5-4.0. UCSD also took advantage of 25 UCI service errors.

Joel Schneidmiller led four players in double figure kills with 17. He also added a season-high nine digs

>UCI trailed 24-21 then used a kill by Stadick and two kills by Gillis to knot the score at 24s. The last Gillis kill was possible by good defense by Schneidmiller and Nsakanda

SET FOUR
>A pair of kills by Stadick and Schneidmiller helped UCI jump out to a 6-2 lead
>Following a Schneidmiller kill out of the backrow, Zhai made a great dig crashing into the scorer's table to keep the ball alive and the Triton attack sailed long. The next UCSD attack did the same forcing a UCSD timeout, 8-3
>The Tritons would rally on three kills and a block, 10-8

FIFTH SET
