LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 12 UC Irvine men's water polo dropped its regular season finale to No. 5 Long Beach State, 12-5, Saturday afternoon at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

UCI concludes the regular season with an 8-12 overall record and 1-4 in conference play. The Beach improve to 20-5 on the year and a perfect 5-0 mark in GCC action.

The Anteaters will be the No. 6 seed at next weekend's GCC Tournament and will play No. 3 UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
> Solan Kedzie led the Anteaters with two goals while Jake Liechty, Nikola Illic and Zlatan Nikocevic each finished with one
> Harrison Land played 22 minutes in goal and grabbed four saves while Jacob Pyle played the remainder of the game in the cage and made three stops
> LBSU's Garrett Zaan had a game-high four goals
> UCI trailed in shots, 33-26, and went 1-of-10 on powerplays

Quarter One
> The Anteaters got behind early as the Beach jumped out to a 3-0 lead
> Liechty got UCI on the board in the final second of the quarter to make it 3-1

Quarter Two
> Illic fired in a goal at 7:13 to close the gap, 2-3, before LBSU scored two-straight to go up, 5-2 (4:45)
> Nikocevic scored on an extraman attempt at 1:12 before the Beach answered with a goal at 44 seconds to take a 6-3 lead into the intermission

Quarter Three
> LBSU stretched its lead, 9-3, as 1:13 remained in the quarter
> Kedzie would score with 36 seconds remaining before Abdelrahman Soliman fired in a goal for the Beach at the 12 second mark to go up, 11-4

Quarter Four
> LBSU opened the final quarter with a goal at 7:42
> Kedzie scored his second of the day at 7:03 before the Zaan added one more to give LBSU the 12-5 victory
