STOCKTON, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team shot a final-round 288 to finish 10th overall Saturday at the Visit Stockton Invitational.

In their final competition of the fall season, the Anteaters combined for a 54-hole score of 855 (290-277-288).

Washington State held on for the one-stroke victory with a total of 816. Saint Mary's made a run for the team title, going 16-under on the final day, but it wasn't enough as the Gaels settled for a second-place finish (817).

The Cougars' Max Sekulic was the individual medalist, climbing four spots with a third-round 62. He led the field at 16-under 197 (67-68-62).

Darien Zhao was UCI's top finisher for the second time in three tournaments. Zhao tied for 37th at even-par 213 (72-69-72).

Nathan Irwin and redshirt freshman
Johnny Bai (72-70-72) all carded a 1-over 214 to tie for 41st. Irei and Irwin shot identical rounds of 73, 69 and 72 over the course of the three-day event. Sophomore
Henry Fitzhugh rounded out the 'Eater lineup in 75th (224).

UC Irvine will now prepare for the spring portion of its season which begins in February. The Anteaters will co-host the third annual Orange County Collegiate Classic at Coto de Caza South Course, Feb. 7-8.
