2019-20 Top Team Performance: Women's Indoor Track & Field

During the month of July, UC Irvine Athletics is highlighting some of the top team performances of the 2019-20 academic year presented by UCI Health.
 
4x400 Highlights Strong Performances at NM Collegiate Classic

The UC Irvine women's indoor track & field team combined for eight marks that landed among the program's all-time top-10 at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, Feb. 7-8.
 
The 4x400 relay highlighted the weekend as Sha'Maya Flanagan, Mychal Robinson, Tess Mathes and Zani Meaders broke the school record they set two weeks earlier at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational. The quartet clocked in at 3:48.24, shaving over a second off their previous best.
 
Individually, Meaders moved up two spots to No. 4 on UCI's all-time charts with an indoor personal-best 24.98 in the 200m. Flanagan added a then season-best 56.99 in the 400m, which ranked fifth in program history. Mathes also established the Anteaters' fourth-best 600m time, running a personal-record 1:37.57.
 
Mariah Theologidy cracked the all-time top-10 in the 3000m with a then lifetime-best 10:25.84.
 
In the field events, Tayla Crenshaw jumped to No. 5 in indoor school history in both the weight throw (51-01.5) and shot put (41-03.25). Lorraine Nance also established a personal-best 38-02.25 in the triple jump, putting her at No. 4 all-time.
 
Other highlights included PRs from Robinson in the 200m (25.89), Chaselyn Amos in the long jump (17-00.75) and Hanna Coloma in the triple jump (35-10.5). Brianna Villanueva also had her third-straight top-10 showing in the weight throw where she was eighth in a field of 43 athletes (57-02.75).
