SACRAMENTO, Calif. – UC Irvine sits in sixth place after the first day of the Gunrock Invitational held at the Del Paso Country Club.
The Anteaters shot a 36 hole total of 629 (315-314) on a breezy Monday. UCI was fourth among tournament teams with 96 pars.
Madison Riggs is tied for 20th with a pair of rounds at 78 (156) followed by Sienna Lyford tied for 24th with a score of 157 (78-79) and Angela Bagasbas tid for 29th at 158 (80-78). Sabrina Li is tied for 43rd with a two round total of 162 (79-83) and Megan Yang is tied for 56th at 166 (87-79).
Riggs led the team on Par 3s (3.20,+2), Sienna Lyford on Par 4s (4.31,+5) and Angela Bagasbas on Par 5s (5.20,+2). Riggs posted 23 pars on the first day.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.
