ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UC Irvine women's indoor track & field team had another impressive showing at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, highlighted by a school record in the 4x400, Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Junior

Mychal Robinson, freshman
Tess Mathes, and sophomore
Zani Meaders combined for a time of 3:48.24 (3:48.68 altitude-adjusted), breaking the program record they set two weeks ago at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Invitational. The quartet shaved over a second off their previous time.
Robinson also took 10th in the 60m hurdle prelims, clocking in at 8.49 seconds (8.51aa). Robinson was two spots out of qualifying for the final.
One day after establishing a lifetime best in the weight throw, sophomore
Tayla Crenshaw did the same in the shot put, finishing 21st with a mark of 41-03.25. That toss vaulted her into fifth on UCI's all-time charts.

Lorraine Nance led three Anteaters in the triple jump, placing 19th overall with a personal-record 38-02.25. Junior
Hanna Coloma also established a personal-best 35-10.5, while sophomore
Citlali Pichardo registered a distance of 34-08.25 in her collegiate debut.
A pair of 'Eaters also competed in their first collegiate 60m dash. Freshman
Chaselyn Amos took 49th (8.13) and sophomore
Jaida Robinson came in 60th (8.26).
UC Irvine will now have a couple weeks to prepare for the MPSF Indoor Championships in Seattle, Feb. 28-29.
