IRVINE, Calif - The UCI Women's Tennis team wrapped up their first match of the season with a 8-1 non-conference win over Westmont at the CSUN tennis courts.
 
The Anteaters start the season 1-0 as they prep for their first Big West Conference match against Hawaii next week.
 
The 'Eaters won all the doubles points and won five out of the six singles matches.

> The Anteaters took all three of the doubles matches.
> Jenna Schlatter and Arianna Tilbury got UCI off to a great start and won 6-1 over Christine Hemry/Ana Negri at the No. 3 spot.
> Flora Amiri and Jessica Tsukiji were the next doubles to finish and won 6-3 over Rachal Jackson/Sidney Lowry 6-3 at the No. 1 spot
> Alyssia Fossorier and Stephanie Nguyen won the final doubles 6-2 over Cade Pierson/Emily Peterson 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
>Westmont took a match at the No. 1 spot for the singles with Pierson winning 6-4,6-2 over Nguyen.
> UCI retaliated by taking the other five singles
> Amiri won handily over Emily Peterson with a score of 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
> Tsukiji prevailed in a tight match at No. 3 over Sidney Lowry with a score of 6-4, 6-3, 10-3.
> Halla Alajeely dominated her match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Rachal Jackson on court four.
> Fossorier won her match 6-3, 6-0 against Christine Hemry No. 5.
> Schlatter displayed dominance as she won 6-0, 6-0 against Ava Verchimak at the No. 6 spot.
