IRVINE, Calif. – Jason Evezard's six goals powered 10^th-ranked UC Irvine to a 12-10 win over RV Concordia Irvine at William Woollett Aquatics Center Friday afternoon.
 
UCI improves to 5-2 on the season while CUI falls to 2-8 overall.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
> Junior Jason Evezard finished with a team-high six goals
> Senior Ian Fleenor had two goals, two assists and two steals
> Ivan Mercep, Bryant Joudrie, Grant Chiponis and Zlatan Nikocevic each added one goal
> Harrison Land tallied 10 saves and three steals
> UCI out-shot CUI 38-31 and went 2-2 in five-meter penalty shots
> Marius Jakimcikas finished with six goals for the Eagles

Quarter One
> The Eagles got on the board first scoring at 6: 15 before Mercep added a goal at 5:54 and Evezard scored back-to-back to give UCI a 2-1
> Land fed Joudrie a pass with seven seconds remaining to give the 'Eaters a 4-2 lead
 
Quarter Two
> Nikocevic scored off a pass from Fleenor at 3:55
> The Eagles' Tomassetti added a goal at 1:22 to make it 5-3 at the half

> UCI opened up the third quarter with goals from Chiponis and Evezard to take 7-3 lead at 5:57
> Fleenor scored on the powerplay at 5:18
> CUI went on a 3-0 run to end the quarter making it a 8-7 game heading into the final quarter
